How did Verge Permaculture begin? What is the order of operations in permaculture design if you want to prevent flooding and water scarcity ? How does a rainwater harvesting system mimic the workings of the human gut microbiome? And why is it possible to meet local water code requirements and still have poor water quality?

These were just a few of the questions Rob Avis recently discussed with Sam Sycamore on the Good Life Revival podcast as they marked the publication of Verge Permaculture’s newest book, Essential Rainwater Harvesting. After walking through common myths and misconceptions about rainwater catchment, they closed with a lively discussion about the importance of seeking out high-quality information in a world saturated with poorly researched blog posts, YouTube videos and the like.
