Well this past week-end we kicked off the start of Spring in a big way: Saturday and Sunday were the first two days of our Calgary Permaculture Design Course, Saturday was Seedy Saturday and Saturday evening we hosted a workshop called Marketing for Hippies.
We are both feeling a little tired today… and very much looking forward to escaping to the mountains for a little holiday starting tomorrow. But we are really pleased with all of the events – check out the photos below.
Here are Michelle & Rowen working a booth at Seedy Saturday. Don’t be fooled by the lack of people – the place was shoulder to shoulder crowed all day. This was the first lull and man, were we ever glad to have it! Note that the boss is sleeping :).
Below, our good friends Ashley & Heather of Dirt Craft Natural Building were passing out samples of bread made from their own sour out of their cob oven. Yum.
Meanwhile, Rob is at the Calgary Canoe Club starting off the first day of our spring design course and meeting our 25 new students.
Nothing quite like a little web of resilience…
And, because we hadn’t quite had enough, we finished off the day with a great workshop on Marketing for Green Business, taught by our friend and marketing guru, Tad Hargrave.
Here are the participants working together and brainstorming marketing ideas…
A big thank-you to everyone who came out to the workshop – we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Now it’s time to go hibernate in the mountains for a few days.
