This a simplified version of Michelle Avises seedling and crop planning spreadsheet. Note that Michelle is in a cold climate in the Northern Hemisphere and you may have to adjust date fields as suitable for your location.

Always remember to harden off your seedlings. There is not a hardening off date indicated in the chart (but you could!).

It’s a good idea to start hardening off at least one week before setting out.

Hit the ground running, with unique methods for starting seedlings.

Our focus is on three main areas:
  • Deciding on when you can set seedlings out in the garden.
  • Determining how many weeks old you will grow your seedlings out to be.
  • Doing all your planning early in the year so that as the year progresses you simply follow along with the columns that tell you what you need to do every week.
