How To Get There

Verge Summer Camp is happening at Camp Maskepetoon, on the west shore of Pigeon Lake, Alberta. It’s a 50 minute drive south from the Edmonton Airport, and a 2.5 hour drive north from Calgary.

The map below shows the location of the camp (look for the Verge Icon), as well as options for offsite accommodations, as well as driving directions from both Edmonton and Calgary for your convenience. View the map in your web browser here.

If you’re flying in, the best option is to use YEG (Edmonton). While we can’t promise to pick you up from the airport, we will help you to coordinate with others who might be willing to carpool via the private group page on our portal.

Can I bring Alcohol onto the site?

Yes – you may bring your own beverages. Just remember what you bring in, you must take with you.

Is there space for me to store my own food in the fridge/freezer?

Please bring a cooler – We’ve got some space in the freezer for your ice or ice packs (just make sure to label ’em!). Let’s keep things chill!

Are you accommodating specific allergies/dietary requirements?

We’re excited to let you know that we’ll have a special menu at summer camp. We know that some of you might have dietary restrictions or allergies, and we’re sorry that we won’t be able to accommodate everyone.

But don’t worry, you can still enjoy our food! Take a look at our menu and feel free to bring any substitutions that fit your specific needs. For example, if you need gluten-free bread or vegan burgers, bring them along and we’ll make sure you get the most out of your meals.

(Heads up – menu subject to change! Madi will keep it updated, so check back closer to camp for the latest scoop)

Can I bring my dog?

Camp Maskepetoon is a pet-free zone. So, please leave your furry friends at home.

What will the food menu be for camp?

What are my accommodation options?

  • Shared coed cabin/bunk (11 cabins that sleep 10 each)
  • Bring your own tent
  • RV/camper/car camping
  • Off-site (see the map for options)

We have a limited number of co-ed cabins with bunk beds. These sleep 8-10 people each. If you select the “Shared Coed Cabin” ticket, you may be paired up with permies that are “yet-to-be-friends”. If you want a little more privacy, we recommend that you bring your own tent or camper/RV (which can be parked onsite) or stay offsite.

If your group includes children aged 5 & under and you ask for “Shared Coed Cabin” ticket, we will be pairing you with another family. If your kids don’t sleep through the night, or require quiet times, it’s best that you bring your own accommodation.
