Opening the Doors to Students 50 or 5,000 Miles Away – Verge Permaculture Offers Our First Live Streaming Workshops with Sustainable Agriculture Superstar Joel Salatin!

All the (Misguided) Industry Experts Agree: A Profitable, Beyond-Organic, Sustainable Farm Enterprise is Impossible!

So Brace Yourself: The Outrageously Successful Entrepreneurial Farmer Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms is Coming to Bust That Myth (and many more)… Online!

Hey, Rob and Michelle here!

…and are we thrilled to announce our latest offering!

Pioneering “lunatic farmer” Joel Salatin is known worldwide for empowering his listeners to defy limitations and take action on their dreams…and we must say, he’s done this for us.

In fact, he’s inspired us to reach even beyond the normal geographic limits of an on-site training…and so we are, for the first time, offering three full days of his workshops online, by real-time live streaming!

That’s right! Wherever you are in the world, if you can access the Internet, you can join us for Joel Salatin’s rip-roaring three-day series of self-contained workshops,“Beef, Poultry & Profits, Oh My! The Forgotten Secrets of Beyond-Organic Farming”, March 20-22, 2013:

  • March 20: You Can Farm – The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Start and Succeed in a Farming Enterprise
  • March 21: Pastured Poultry Profits – Net $25,000 in 6 Months on 20 Acres
  • March 22: Salad Bar Beef

So who is this entrepreneurial instigator, Joel Salatin? And what’s with “beyond-organic” farming, you ask?

If you’ve ever witnessed the shocking, stinking realities of conventional industrial farming, we’re willing to bet you’re asking – who’s crazy enough to want it? Farmers? Livestock? Consumers?

– Anyone at all?

We mean – really! Farmers sink their savings into high-tech equipment, factory-style confinements for their livestock, and deadly poisons for their fields, just to compete – and then see all those dollars swirling down the tubes with a bad harvest or low market prices. They live with non-stop stress and the stench of manure slurry lagoons (phew!), their animals are miserable, their land and often their health suffers, and their kids light out for the city the first chance they get…

All so that the consumer can get a petrochemical-laden, continentally-transported, mass-produced (but hey, low-cost!) food product…

As our son Rowan says, YUCK! Why would anyone ever put up with such an awful way of life?

Rowan reacting to the industrial farming system

One simple reason: they’ve been sold a bill of goods…

Industry experts agree: local, organic and sustainable alternatives are inefficient, perhaps even dangerous, often even illegal, and certainly never profitable!

Well, once you’ve read even one chapter of Joel Salatin’s eight books, you’re pretty clear that such a horror-story of a farming model may be promoted by governmental agencies and underwritten by the petrochemical industry, but it needn’t represent your reality!

With three generations of family farming history, a lifetime’s experience in entrepreneurial small farming, and growing international acclaim to back him up, Joel demonstrates conclusively that the dream of a profitable, healthy, sustainable, beyond-organic small farm enterprise is quite achievable. In fact, Joel describes it as “making a white collar salary from a pleasant life in the country.”

October at Polyface Farm

What does that mean in real life? Well, the Salatin family and their working team at Polyface Farms proudly say that they “haven’t bought a bag of chemical fertilizer in half a century, never planted a seed, own no plow or disk or silo.”

Instead, Polyface uses a contrarian land-healing practice that Joel calls “mob-stocking herbivorous solar conversion lignified carbon sequestration fertilization” (in other words, farming the way Nature intended, with diverse and integrated livestock feeding on and fertilizing bio-diverse pastures and woodlands).

And despite all the industry experts’ dire predictions, Polyface has achieved both local and global fame, supplying a customer base of more than 3,000 families, 10 retail outlets, and 50 restaurants, being profiled in Smithsonian Magazine, National Geographic, and Gourmet (among other media coverage), and being featured in the movie Food, Inc. and the New York Times best-seller The Omnivore’s Dilemma.

Joel explains pastured poultry model

In fact, while Joel wryly calls himself a “lunatic farmer,” TIME Magazine has named him “the world’s best farmer” – and the New York Times titles him “Virginia’s most multifaceted agrarian since Thomas Jefferson [and] the high priest of the pasture!”

And on March 20-22, 2013, Joel will be bringing his mischievous humor, his high-energy delivery, and his empowering, encyclopedic, dirt-under-the-fingernails knowledge…and the secrets of Polyface Farms’ business success…to viewers from Alberta to New Zealand in Verge’s very first live-streamed training.

Whether you grow veggies in pots on your apartment balcony, or whether you’re an aspiring livestock systems farmer, or whether you’re somewhere in between, these three days will have you drawing up plans to increase both your yield and your bank balance!

We’ve got a confession to make.

At its roots, this isn’t just a course about farming…or even about building a business! Joel Salatin has a much bigger agenda than that…..

This course is about creating a life…a community…and a society based on respecting the egg-ness of eggs, the chicken-ness of chickens, the cow-ness of cattle. It’s about appreciating and working with the essence of plants, animals, and nature as a whole, rather than producing bigger, fatter, cheaper products in factory farms.

And it’s about building a life based on your own essential beliefs, values and dreams! building coalitions with other impassioned dreamers…creating empowered, informed and active communities…and changing the world in the process!

So whether you’re an aspiring or established farmer – a public policy maker or community organizer – a green entrepreneur or holistic manager – or a cubicle-dweller in need of a bigger vision – you’re sure to find life-changing insights in Joel’s high-energy, information-packed talks.

Creating coalitions, creating community…those are the only benefits our on-site participants receive that solitary live-stream participants will miss: real-time, local, personal connections to support, challenge, and collaborate with you long after the training is over. So while you would gain powerful information and inspiration from experiencing this live-streaming training in the privacy of your own home, we’re going to invite you to think bigger…

Why not make it a community event, and jump-start those ideas and inspirations with group energy right from the get-go? We’ve made it so easy, so affordable, so downright profitable, that we challenge you to find a reason to refuse!

For the cost of just one registration, Joel’s message can inform and inspire your church, school, or neighborhood association…your garden club or CSA…even your business.

Yes, you read that right: it will cost no more to educate your organization or community than it would cost to watch this live-streaming training all by yourself. We even know of organizations that are using this training as a fundraising event, charging a low registration fee to cover the cost of their one ticket, and taking everything over that as pure profit! (See our blog about it here!)

Of course, there is a limitation…to get that group synergy, your group needs to be in one place, seeing the live-stream together from one computer. That’s all! They can be cozily clustered around your laptop, or sitting in a conference hall seeing the training projected onto a large screen – but your one registration gives access to one computer, no more. *See the live-stream cancellation tab for additional information about turning your live-stream registration into an event.

Within those limits – your participants will be able to take part fully in the training, interacting with Joel and the High River classes and asking questions via chat. (Note: there will be only one chat access per registration). At the same time, they’ll be building the base of local, shared experience, networking, brainstorming and mutual feedback and support that’s so critical to community-building…

All this, for a fraction of what it would cost to bring Joel Salatin to your town in person!

Why is Verge doing this? Well – it’s our mission! We went into business to teach as many people as possible of the world-changing benefits that permaculture offers. By making this live-streaming training available to groups for the cost of one registration, we support local community-building initiatives, and ensure that you get the fullest value from your investment.

You’ll walk away from the training not only with Joel’s priceless knowledge, but also with local friends and mutual commitments to support each other in achieving your dreams, starting not “someday” but NOW.

In fact, as Joel writes in You Can Farm,

“It doesn’t matter what your background, your socio-economic status, your age or your current living condition; if you have a yearning in your soul to grow things and minister healthy food to people, to live an agrarian life with your children and grandchildren playing around your feet, then an opportunity exists for you….
“My prayer is that together we can help this happen for you.”

So go ahead – join us and see for yourself… you can farm.

We like to keep the tone of our messages light and perky…but truth is, these are very serious issues with an enormous impact on the environment and public health.

In fact, if you’ve been reading the headlines for the past few months, you know that a massive, historic agro-industrial “FAIL” has been taking place before our eyes over the past few months, right here in Alberta: the XL Foods beef recall due to E. coli contamination. This was the largest recall in Canadian history, as the plant processes more than one third of the beef consumed in all of Canada….but it didn’t stop there.

Illnesses and deaths from tainted XL beef have spanned the globe from British Columbia to Hong Kong. Grocers around the world have pulled thousands of recalled products from their shelves. Millions of pounds of contaminated beef were buried at landfills and piled in warehouses, to be destroyed, rendered, or cooked at high heat to kill the bacteria.

The impact has rocked small-town economies and sent thousands of workers home as slaughterhouses and related businesses put operations on hold….or closed their doors forever. The recall stan

ds as stark evidence of all that’s wrong in the Big Food model as it’s practised around the world today.
With a disaster like that in the news, who needs any further proof that something has to change in the way our culture approaches food – and the plants and animals that are sacrificed to become our food?

We talk a lot about food security here at Verge. You might say that these workshops by Joel Salatin give you the tools to create the ultimate food security for yourself and your family, your neighbours, your community, town and region….and ultimately, maybe, the world!

Offhand, we can’t think of a better reason to sign up today….can you?

No matter what your dream or your business, Joel is the man to inspire creative planning…no wonder he’s called upon to speak at conferences and professional retreats around the world.

And when we heard about Joel’s powerful message and impressive farming record, we were no exception! So this course marks a new approach to our program offerings…

Instead of offering a three-day course and a single tuition fee, we’re offering a menu of options to fit your schedule, interests, and budget – online!

You can choose to attend – from the comfort of your own home – just one day, any two days, or all three days. So whether you’re looking to design your dream of a profitable, sustainable green business…or you’re looking to raise healthy organic egg-layers and broilers fit for the most discerning gourmets…or you’re hoping to create or overhaul your cattle ranch as a sustainable free-range salad bar…or any combination of the above!… you can sign up for only the days you want, or immerse yourself in Joel’s holistic plan for integrated livestock farming.

  • Wednesday, March 20: You Can Farm – The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Start and Succeed in a Farming Enterprise

  • Thursday, March 21: Pastured Poultry Profits – Net $25,000 in 6 Months on 20 Acres

  • Friday, March 22: Salad Bar Beef

In fact, even if you can’t make it – online or in person for any of the three days, you still have a chance to hear Joel at his riveting best in two additional lectures, (assuming you’re in the High River or Calgary area):

  • Wednesday, March 20 in High River: Slow Food Banquet and Keynote Address – The Sheer Ecstasy of Being a Lunatic Farmer

  • Friday, March 22 in Calgary: Public Lecture – Folks, This Ain’t Normal

Click “more info” below for more details about the lecture and banquet events!

Day 1: You Can Farm

Wednesday, March 20th, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Mountain Time [$220]

A unified team creating a shared vision from the ground up – sounds like a wonderful idea, sure, but how do you actually do it? No vague theorizing here – Joel starts from the nitty-gritty of “getting the team on the same bus” and “assigning seats” (determining roles and responsibilities).

You’ll get a full toolbox of practical how-to’s, ranging from creative land acquisition to permaculture-based production principles – for example, mutually supportive plant and animal relationships and effective composting for sustainably fertile soil. We’ll talk about farming like an entrepreneur, becoming your own middleman, and marketing to a diverse audience. And finally, we’ll take a look at what happens once your farm is solidly on its feet: how to build a trained cadre of employees, and how to create a lasting, profitable legacy for your children and grandchildren.

Day 2: Pastured Poultry Profits

Thursday, March 21st, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Mountain Time [$220]

With one medical study after another proving the health benefits of eating poultry – and with one whistle-blower report after another proving the horrific factory conditions under which most chickens and turkeys are raised and slaughtered – Joel offers a tested and proven money-maker with his Pastured Poultry business model.

So in his Pastured Poultry presentation, Joel shows us how to build a thriving poultry farm from – as you might say – scratch: how to build a portable shelter for your chosen bird(s), how to pick the breed you need, and how to create safe environments in the brood-box and in the field. We’ll talk about economics – profit and loss for chickens versus turkeys, egg-layers versus broilers, parts versus whole birds – and how to figure price margins. And you’ll learn how to keep your birds healthy, happy, well-fed and well-protected from the egg to the killing cone.

Day 3: Salad Bar Beef

Friday, March 22nd, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Mountain Time [$220]

Whether you’re a rancher already, or whether you’re eyeing the rich Alberta vistas with an eye to grazing, this part of the course seems ready-made to our region! Not only from the perspective of a profitable farm, but also from an environmental viewpoint: where conventional cattle-ranching can be a recipe for erosion and land degradation, Joel’s plan for raising Salad Bar Beef actually heals damaged land…so even starting as the Salatins did with a low-cost, low-quality property, you can wind up with lush, fertile pastures for gourmet beeves! How? By respecting the natural essence of the land and the animals.

And you’ll get all the how-to’s in this rich segment of the course. We’ll talk about landscape design, managing water and placing roads, and working with rough, wet, or rolling terrain. You’ll learn about permanent versus portable fencing, corrals and enclosures, herding and movement between pastures, winter housing and feeding, and grass-finishing before slaughter. You’ll even get tips on enhancing the salad bar and ensuring soil fertility with composting, manure management, and pigaerating. And yes, Joel looks at the practicalities of transforming beeves from live animals to gourmet meat -from grass-finishing to assuring comfort to dealing with adrenaline and enzymes after death – even tips for cooking (because Salad Bar Beef is what beef should be, say gourmet chefs – and unlike any beef you’ve had before)!

Save with a Three-Day Package! [$600]

For those wanting to immerse themselves head-to-toe in the wit, humour and down-right practicality of Joel’s extensive farming wisdom, the three-day package is for you! The discounted rate of $600 includes all the perks of Days 1, 2 & 3. You’ll get just about everything you need to succeed with your own land-healing, food-producing, profitable farm enterprise! Except, of course, the cattle.

Introducing Joel Salatin…

If you’ve spent any time experimenting with sustainable technologies, you’ve experienced the…er, thrill…of bumping up against the popular mindset as it’s been legislated into law, and then educating the government through lobbying or legal appeals.

After our experience with the City of Calgary shutting down our greywater system, we can assure you, it’s loads of fun…the sort of fun that we’d rather experience just once in a lifetime, thanks!

So when we heard about Joel’s pioneering work in sustainable farming through our friends at Milkwood Permaculture – and heard about his book Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal – we just had to connect with this guy….

Joel’s been bucking the mainstream since before he took on the leadership of Polyface Farms in 1982, and his war stories literally fill a book. As he says, Polyface and its international reputation “would not exist if the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services had their way.“

Why the confrontation? Well, as Joel says, up until the 1940’s organic and chemically-based approaches to farming had been equally respected….but after WWII, the USDA swerved to follow the profitable petrochemical approach, changing the course of farming in the U.S. and the world in the process…

Joel’s grandfather, Frederick Salatin, was among those who stayed on the organic path. Joel’s father followed suit, purchasing a run-down, hard-scrabble property in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and, with the help of the family, going dead-against industry experts’ advice and USDA principles to create the fertile, self-sustaining farm that would become Polyface.

Polyface: Farm of Many Faces

As Joel trained to take on the stewardship of the farm, he witnessed the impact of USDA teachings in practice – dead animals outside factory farm buildings, the pervasive smell of drugs and manure – and he came away vowing to have nothing to do with the “agro-industrial monster.” During his 30-year leadership of Polyface Farm, he has passionately charted a beyond-organic course, challenging federal and state requirements over issues ranging from the local sale of clean, healthy, and well cared-for meats, to his right to opt out of a highly bureaucratic system seemingly designed to not only regulate, but obliterate the small-scale farmer.

The result? Polyface is now the world’s premier example of sustainable agriculture, producing popular, high-value products including“salad bar beef” (named for the diverse, self-sowing pasture plants that the beeves eat) , “pigaerator pork” (named for the pigs’ role in making compost and tilling the ground), “pastured poultry“ (feeding on the bugs in cattle and pig droppings), and forestry products. Roughly six interns and two apprentices train on-site at the farm each year, while Joel spreads his gospel of sustainable agriculture at workshops around the world.

Giving a tour at Polyface Farms in Virginia

As Joel has watched the worsening impact of chemically-based, industrial agriculture on the quality of food, public health, the environment, the economy, and cultural values, he’s become a man on a mission. His commitment is stated up front on the Polyface website: “We are in the redemption business: healing the land, healing the food, healing the economy, and healing the culture.”

His message of redemption isn’t just for would-be regenerative farmers, but for anyone who cherishes a dream of creating a practical, healthy and sustainable lifestyle that respects the earth and the integrity of plants, animals and humans populating the earth:

“It’s not important WHAT you do, as long as you do SOMETHING, and as long as you do it NOW. Do something, even if it’s wrong. You’ll always learn more from your mistakes than you will from your successes. Go ahead, take the plunge, and get started NOW.”

And what better way can we offer to help you get started building your dream than under Joel’s personal guidance, March 20-22, 2013 from the comfort of your own home?

So What Does It Cost?

If your mouse-finger has been itching to click the Register button – but you just haven’t found the final compelling reason yet, we’re willing to bet you’re asking some variation on this question:

“What does it cost? And what is a live-stream course worth to me – really?”

You know as well as we do that live-streaming workshops can range from being lively, interactive virtual classes to being bare-minimal broadcasts of a disembodied talking head, droning on for hours…

So, you’re probably asking, “Which sort is this one? It’s a first attempt for these folks, there’s sure to be a learning curve…and really good live-streaming runs into bucko bucks…how good can it be?… And if they go all out, what are they going to charge me for it?”

We’ve got two answers to that .

First – yes, we are going ALL out – and then some! And second – well, just wait till you see the value you’ll get for your $$$!

Let’s start with this – you’re absolutely right. Good live-streaming is seriously pricey! And we’re going to give you a live-stream experience that stops just short of giving you a chance to shake Joel’s hand in person.

We’ve hired a professional production company: two videographers, one audio guy/gal, a lead technical coordinator, and a chat moderator…that is, a full technical team of seven people, plus equipment (cameras/lighting, computer streaming hardware, etc). ) We didn’t want to hold back on any features!

…And our pricing reflects our attention to quality.  Even though our pricing is well within the norm, well… it’s still caused a bit of sticker shock for those who hoped live-streaming might be a lower-cost option, and didn’t realize what a costly technical proposition this is for us.

So we’ve made some adjustments for you…and added some irresistible new benefits to sweeten the deal! We recognize that some of you have the means and motivation to pay for it as a career investment, while others are starting out on a much tighter budget.

So……you can choose now between two registration levels: Premium and Basic!

Our Premium Package:

The Premium package offers all of the  core live-streaming features:

  • Premium-quality professional live-stream recording…
  • Real-time Q&A with Joel as time permits…
  • Real-time chat with onsite & online participants via twitter…

But it doesn’t end there!

When your workshops are all over, you’ll be able to download the video files and save them for future viewings whenever and wherever you want. So if you had a technical connectivity problem, needed to step out, or missed some of the presentation for whatever reason, you can rest assured that you’ll be able to catch what you missed later on.

“But the cost?” you’re saying patiently, or maybe not so patiently…”What’s the bottom line?”.

Well, that depends on the number of days you choose to view…

Premium One full day: $220
Premium Two days: $440
Premium Three-day package: $600

You see, we’re pretty passionate about giving you every incentive to become a change agent for your community. So as a Premium participant, you and your organization can have up to three days of training from superstar farmer Joel Salatin for the price of one ticket – with the option to raise funds, over and over, by showing the videos later on!

That’s right – when you sign up for our Premium package, your community has the opportunity to make a repeatable profit!

When you put your Premium-level tuition of $220 per day in this perspective, it becomes a very small investment, easily regained, toward long-term local sustainable self-sufficiency, food security, and resiliency….as well as immediate income for your organization!

But you see, there’s a catch….to protect the quality of your interactive experience and to be able to reasonably moderate questions from the online community, we’re limiting the number of Premium participants….and these seats are going fast!

So if you are looking to participate fully in the workshop, asking questions of Joel, interacting with your classmates, and raising funds for your community, well, forever…NOW is the time to sign up!

But what if you’ve got big dreams and a small budget – and you want the benefit of Joel’s knowledge, but can’t afford $220/day?

We’re happy to say that we now have a solution for you!

Our Basic Package:

By chopping out the high-ticket interactive Q&A and Chat features and the downloadable videos, we were able to create a Basic option for just $110/day, reducing your investment by 50%!

You can view the workshop and interact with the class via our special Twitter hashtag. You’ll still hear all of the questions as Joel answers them (and if our experience is any guide, each person asking a question speaks for a number of others!) and see all the slides and all of the resources that he recommends.

And of course, if you want to throw a real-time party and gather your community or organization to watch the live stream with you – perhaps all sharing the cost of the ticket – be our guest! In fact, as the Basic option gives you a one-time-only viewing, we suggest that you do gather a group, so you can compare notes and ensure that nobody misses a beat.

For such a price, how could you go wrong?

We get it. Times are tough. And taking the first step into a whole new way of life – exciting as it is – is scary, especially when it feels like it involves a big chunk’o’change!

And this is why we have set up our Premium and Basic group watching options, in which  members of your organization or community can chip in to cover the cost, or open the doors for advance registrations. You can watch and dream and plan together…

  • whether you want to give your organization or community a permanent source of fundraising income with the DVD recordings in the Premium option…
  • or whether you want to gather for the one-shot live-streamed option

Either way you’re creating immediate change as you educate and build your community!

So when you look at it that way, the question isn’t “How can I afford to do this?”

The real question – for you and your community – is “How can we afford not to do this?”

Whether you’re registering at a Premium or Basic level, we have a special, “immediate gratification” gift to bring you to the weekend full of ideas and questions for your small farm enterprise!

We’ve all faced the quandary: signing up for a workshop that promises to light a match under our stoked-up hopes and dreams…eagerly anticipating the event…and then when we get there, being so swept up in the presentation that we struggle to ask the questions that would help us implement our own plans and strategies.

So we’re going to give you a little warm-up gift when you register for any one or more days.

Just this month, Rob and Joel met by phone for an exclusive pre-workshop interview…which yielded half an hour’s worth of juicy, incomparably Joel-esque tips on can’t miss topics like…

  • starting an agricultural business when you can’t afford land
  • designing a porta-farm that you can put down or pick up in a couple of days (or less)…
  • choosing the centerpiece of a diversified “one-stop-shop” enterprise…
  • transitioning a conventional farm to beyond-organic methods.

Whether you’re an urban desk jockey itching to break away, or a long-time rancher looking for a healthier way to live on the land, or somewhere in between, there’s something in this exclusive 30-minute interview sure to perk your ears and get new ideas spinning….

…and it’s our gift to you as an immediate download when you register at either Premium or Basic level!

Hey, we get it: When you’re living in apocalyptic times (or any other kind of times), life happens. Solar flares, earthquakes, superstorms, total economic collapse, a flu epidemic, or a bunch of Internet servers having a bad cable day. Stuff like that. It happens to the best of us.

So we realize that circumstances in your life or your organization may prevent you from participating in this live streaming event, or that acts of Mother Nature may prevent us from delivering it.

But when you’ve invested time, energy, and money in an event and you’re faced with such circumstances, what do you do?

General Cancellation Policy

As with all of our events, we reserve the right to cancel this live streaming program at any time due to low enrollment or adverse circumstances. Should we cancel, everyone who’s registered will receive a full refund.

What If Verge Has Technical Difficulties?

We’ve taken every possible step to ensure a high quality live-streaming program will be delivered, one way or another….

Backup Servers

Because high quality live streaming requires a great deal of technological coordination, there is always a risk of internet connection failure or disturbance, or other difficulties that may result in Verge being unable to deliver the program. In order to prevent such downtime, our experienced professional technical team will secure 2-3 backup internet providers to ensure that the show will go on.

Archive Copy

In addition to live streaming, the production is being recorded locally for archiving later. In the event of a temporary outage or intermittent live stream delivery problem, Premium Live-stream participants will be able to view the entire program or any portions missed through the archive after the event.

Full Archive Access or Full Refund

Even with our backup and contingency plans in place, there is always a small possibility that some extreme circumstance may completely prevent the delivery of the live stream.
If this should happen, the course will still be recorded locally. You have two options:

  • Maintain your registration, and you will receive a copy of the video recording (Premium Participants) or a link to view the recording (Basic Participants)
  • Request a refund, but you will not receive or be able to view a video recording of the course

What If You or Your Organization Cannot Participate?

General Technical Policy

You are responsible for making sure ahead of time that you have followed our technical guidelines and have the necessary equipment to participate in the live stream. If you have any questions about the technical requirements, please contact us well before the event, and we will provide whatever guidance is needed. However, Verge Permaculture will not assume responsibility nor offer a refund if you experience difficulties in setting up or accessing the live stream due to technical malfunctions.

If You Need to Cancel Your Personal Registration for Any Reason

  • If you notify us 7 days in advance: we will refund your course fee but will deduct an administrative fee of 10%
  • If you notify us less than 7 days in advance: we cannot provide a refund, but will allow you to send someone in your place OR apply the full amount as credit towards a future course.

If You Are Offering the Live Streaming Program to Your Organization or Community

If you choose to share the registration with your organization, your community group, or another group, please be advised that there is a small risk of problems with the live stream, and plan accordingly using the above policies. Again, we will answer whatever questions and provide whatever technical guidance we can, and we encourage you to have your own contingency policies in place.

Beyond doing our very best to anticipate and prevent technical difficulties, Verge will not assume responsibility for any aspect of the fundraiser/community events that are held using the live stream material from this program.
